In addition to performing (and research), I also enjoy teaching a class now and then. Mundanely, I teach at the college level, and my teaching style at SCA events tends to be similar to the university lecturer - data/content heavy, with little down time during the class, and I tend to overestimate how much material I can squeeze into one class! Some of my classes should probably be broken down into two separate classes (something I'm working on). Most of my classes have evolved over time, and continue to do so. Classes I've taught at Atlantian University and other events include Bardic 101/Bardic Basics, Bardic 102, History of the Guitar and its Music, Notation for the Period Guitar/Lute/Vihuela, Managing Performance Anxiety, Research and Resources in the Performing Arts, etc. I've also taught non-performing arts classes at a local level, including SCA 101, SCA 102 and Court Etiquette classes. Follow the links below for class handout materials from some of my classes (mostly from the latest "versions" of each class) and/or articles related to class material. I will try to update this page as I make revisions to my current class materials and as I add new classes/articles.
